Well, the Nelscott Reef Tow In Classic and Big Wave Paddle In is kicking off today. They’ll just have to wait for darkness and fog to lift and things will get going on this 15+ foot day. Last year’s champions are, in fact, returning for another go at the prize, but as you can see from the list, some of the more famous pros promised aren’t coming.

It’ll be a chilly one today, so let’s hope contestants, especially those from Hawaii, are wearing Xcel wetsuits under those colored jerseys. Here’s who we’ll be watching today:
